Ms. Riecker is a born-and-raised Emporia resident, graduating from Emporia High School and earning both her Bachelor's in Music Education and Masters in Music from Emporia State University. After a brief teaching position in southwestern Kansas, she returned home to take a teaching position with USD 243 Lebo-Waverly, as the Waverly K-12 Music and Band teacher. She has presented at the Kansas Bandmasters Association, serves on the board of the Kansas Flute Society, and performs regularly with the Emporia Symphony Orchestra and Emporia Community Flute Choir.
She currently lives in Emporia with her husband, Aaron and their daughter, and has served as the Emporia Municipal Band Director since 2022.
